Butt augmentation surgery reshapes and enhances the appearance of your gluteal area. It can increase size, improve tone, and contour the buttocks to create a more sensual silhouette. Butt augmentation can be performed using fat transfer, butt implants, butt lift, or a combination of these procedures.
A flat butt or one that is too small for your frame can create an unbalanced look. Butt augmentation creates curves and a more proportional posterior.
Weight loss and age can lead to excess sagging skin. Butt augmentation tightens and firms the gluteal area for a more youthful backside and pleasing swimsuit fit.
Feeling better and more secure with your body helps create confidence, which positively impacts all areas of your life.
No sitting is permitted for the first six weeks following butt augmentation surgery. After these initial days, sitting on a soft pillow or yoga mat is allowed, but no direct pressure can be applied to the buttocks for three months. Dr. Henry will go over techniques and positions you can use to protect the buttocks during this time.
After fat transfer to the buttock area, sitting is permitted after two weeks but only on a donut pillow or yoga mat. Most patients can walk the day following their butt augmentation using fat transfer.
Expect pain and tenderness for the first few days after surgery, but the pain should resolve itself quickly. Your doctor will prescribe pain medication to help relieve discomfort.
Fat injections take the fat tissue from the patient, so there is no risk of an allergic reaction because what is being injected into the body is all natural. Fat transfer also eliminates unwanted fat from other areas of the body, but this technique may limit the size and roundness that can be achieved.
People with toned or thin physiques may not have enough residual fat that can be harvested for fat injections. In these cases, implants will need to be used.
In cases where the patient wishes for a larger buttock size and to correct sagging, fat transfer can be combined with butt implants to create the desired result.
In general, most patients can resume their exercise routine eight to ten weeks after implant surgery. Fat transfer patients can typically resume physical activities after three weeks. Your surgeon will advise you when it will be safest for you to resume your exercise routine.
Without complications, results from a butt augmentation procedure should be long lasting. Patients should be aware that fat transfers utilize natural tissue that can change shape over time, and weight loss can cause you to lose transferred fat volume. For this reason, weight loss is not recommended if you want to maintain your shape after fat transfer.
Living a healthy lifestyle is the best course of action to help maintain buttock appearance. A healthy diet and exercise regimen will help build muscle tone and prevent weight gain in the gluteal area. It is also important to maintain a relationship with your surgeon to prolong results.
